Pair in four clear steps

Start with the hardware powered off and your Apple device nearby.

01

Power on the hardware

Turn on the designated hardware and place it in discoverable mode within a few metres of your iPhone or iPad.

02

Allow Bluetooth

Open GetMod, choose Connect device, tap Scan, and allow Bluetooth access when iOS asks.

03

Select your hardware

Choose the designated product from the nearby device list and keep both devices close while GetMod checks compatibility.

04

Wait for Device ready

Use the remote only after the green READY state appears. Every command is then recorded under Recent actions.

Remote controls

Four controls, one clear workflow. The device state and Recent actions area confirm what GetMod attempted to send.

Verified before control

GetMod enables controls only after it finds the designated BLE control service and a writable characteristic. Seeing a device in the scan list does not by itself confirm compatibility.

Troubleshooting

Answers when something interrupts the connection.

Why is my hardware not listed?
Confirm the hardware is powered on, awake, and within a few metres of your Apple device. Make sure Bluetooth access is allowed for GetMod and that the hardware is not already connected to another phone or tablet. Restart the hardware, then scan again.
Why does GetMod say the device is not compatible?
A device can appear in a Bluetooth scan but use a different control protocol. GetMod unlocks the remote only after it verifies the designated Bluetooth Low Energy service and a writable control characteristic.
Why did the hardware disconnect?
Bluetooth range, low hardware power, radio interference, or a connection from another device can interrupt the link. Keep the hardware nearby, confirm it is powered, and reconnect from GetMod's device panel.
Why do the control buttons appear unavailable?
The controls remain locked until GetMod displays “Device ready.” If the app is still scanning, connecting, or checking compatibility, wait for the process to finish or reconnect the hardware.
Does GetMod require an account or internet connection?
No account or password is required. Core hardware discovery and control use a direct Bluetooth Low Energy connection and do not require Wi-Fi or a developer-operated cloud service.
Does Demo Mode control real hardware?
No. Demo Mode is clearly labelled, operates locally, and does not send Bluetooth commands. Exit Demo Mode and connect the designated hardware for real control.
